Full-Time Inventory Control Assistant (Langley)

EDS Pumps & Water Treatment is looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated individual to join our team as a Full-time Inventory Control Assistant.

Position Summary:

Assist the Inventory Control Manager with purchasing, receiving, shipping and inventory control for a retail and wholesale company.

Key Duties:

  • Assist Inventory Manager with ordering of stock and supplies as required
  • Accurate order consolidation, packaging and shipment
  • Process shipments in a timely manner, ensuring all paperwork, including TDG and WHMIS forms are managed appropriately
  • Process claims for shortages
  • Receive product, ensuring accurate stock placement and labelling
  • Ensure product pricing is current
  • Organize deliveries to service technicians on job sites
  • Clean and organize yard and warehouse buildings as required
  • Transfer stock from main warehouse to service vehicles
  • Load and unload incoming/outgoing shipments

Additional Duties:

  • Display and restock merchandise
  • Conduct periodic cycle counts
  • Pick up product shipped to USA drop-ship location, prepare B3 custom clearance forms for entry into Canada
  • Work with custom brokers to ensure paperwork is available for shipments being imported directly into Canada
  • Source required products
  • Work with sales department to ensure customer orders are pulled and shipped correctly and in a timely manner
  • Other duties as required

 Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Post-secondary is an asset though not required
  • Read, write and speak English fluently
  • Ability to perform physical labour
  • Valid BC Driver’s License
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Time management skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Transportation Dangerous Goods (TDG) training
  • Globally Harmonized System (GHS), Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training
  • Customs Compliance course
  • Forklift Certification
  • First Aid Certification

Additional Notes:

  • Standard working hours 7:30 am to 4 pm
  • 40 hours per week
  • Benefits package & RRSP contribution

Compensation: Commensurate with experience, in the range of $18 – $24 per hour

All customers are required to wear a mask, masks and hand sanitizer are available at entry, curbside pickup is available, common area surfaces are sanitized regularly.

Plumber / Mechanical Field Technician with 3 Years Electrical Experience (Langley)

Position Summary
Provide installation and service to pumps, water treatment systems and well remediation. The Plumber/Field Technician will handle customer service calls, make recommendations for equipment replacement, upgrades and service agreements while delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Duties
  • Perform basic mechanical and plumbing labour on pumps and water treatment systems
  • Install, service and maintain private, community and commercial water systems
  • Install pressure tanks, fillers, water lines and hot water tanks
  • Resolve customer concerns and investigate issues with a solution-focused approach
Other Duties
  • Perform project installations and maintenance in a professional manner
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain a clean, organized van
  • Be available as the on-call technician one week out of every five
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of water treatment, wells and pump applications
  • Equipment maintenance skills
  • Electrical experience
  • Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Mentorship, classroom, and hands on training will be provided in order to allow the candidate to apply hours towards certification as a Pump Installer, Environmental Operator, Water Treatment Specialist, Plumber and/or Electrician
  • Apprenticeship candidates may qualify for educational reimbursement of plumbing school
