Why should I test my well water?
Well water can change over time due to natural conditions, nearby activity, changes in weather, or system issues. Regular testing helps identify potential contaminants early and ensures your water remains safe and reliable.
How often should well water be tested?
We recommend testing your well water at least once a year, or anytime you notice changes in taste, smell, colour, or water pressure.
How long does water testing take?
Depending on the type of water test required, the testing process can range from 24-48 hour to 5 days for full potability tests. Sample collection is very simple and quick.
Will you explain the test results?
Yes. We walk you through your results in clear, simple terms and explain what they mean for your water system, no technical guesswork required.
Do you offer solutions if issues are found?
Absolutely. If testing identifies a problem, we’ll recommend appropriate next steps or treatment options tailored to your specific water quality needs.
How much does a water test cost?
We offer three water testing options depending on how detailed you want your results to be:
- Chemical Water Test: $69
- Full Water Test (Chemical + Bacteria): $167
- Certified Potability Test: $309
Each test is designed to give you clear, accurate insights into your water quality so you can make informed decisions about treatment if needed.
What’s included in the Chemical Water Test?
Our Chemical Water Test checks for the most common water quality concerns affecting taste, smell, and staining, including:
- Iron & manganese
- pH levels & hardness
- Dissolved solids
- Tannins
- Nitrates
- Alkalinity
This is a great starting point for homeowners, especially those on well water.
What’s the difference between the Chemical Test and the Full Water Test?
The Full Water Test ($167) includes everything in the chemical test, plus critical health-related testing for:
- Bacteria
- E. coli
- Arsenic
This option is recommended if you want a more complete picture of your water quality, particularly for drinking safety.
What is a Certified Potability Test?
The Certified Potability Test ($309) is our most comprehensive option and is often required for real estate transactions, mortgages, or health compliance.
It includes:
- Complete chemical analysis
- Full bacteria testing
- Lead & copper
- Sulfate
This test provides official documentation confirming whether your water is safe to drink.
